Quick start: your first feed in 15 minutes

Go from sign-up to a Google Shopping feed URL in eight steps: create a shop, import products, map Master Fields, add a channel and copy the Feed URL.

This guide takes you from a new account to a live Feed URL. You need a product feed URL (XML, CSV or JSON), a shared Google Sheet, or a Shopify store.

Before you start

  • A free trial lasts 14 days and needs no credit card.
  • Have your feed URL at hand. If the feed is password-protected, keep the login handy.
  • Know the destination country and language you will use in Google Merchant Center: the channel country must match it.

Steps

  1. 1

    Create your account

Go to /register, sign up with email and password or with Google. You land on the dashboard.
  2. 2

    Add a shop

Open Shops → Add Shop. Enter an internal name (e.g. Acme Outdoor Co.) and click Continue.
  3. 3

    Configure the input feed

Pick the feed type (XML, CSV/TXT/TSV, JSON, Google Sheets or Shopify). For a URL feed, paste the address, choose the protocol (HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/FTPS/SFTP) and click Save and Continue. For a file on your computer, switch to From Local Device and upload it.
  4. 4

Set the update schedule and import

Choose the timezone and at least one daily update time (e.g. 06:00). Keep the drop alert enabled. Click Save and Download Products. The import usually takes under a minute; you will see the number of products imported.
  5. 5

    Map Master Fields

Click Next: Master Fields. For each of the six required fields (id, title, description, link, price, image_link) choose Use and pick the matching source field. Add recommended optional fields such as brand, gtin, availability, condition. Click Save and Proceed.
  6. 6

    Add a channel

In Channels, click Add Channel. Choose the type (e.g. Google Shopping), the country (e.g. United States) and keep the suggested display name "Google Shopping (US)". Click Create Channel.
  7. 7

    Complete the channel wizard

Map Fields (pick a master field for each channel field) → Include/Exclude (leave "Include · All Products" for now) → Categorize (run AI Auto-Categorization or skip) → Processing (the feed is generated) → Feed Review (fix any errors).
  8. 8

    Copy the Feed URL

In Export, copy the URL, for example https://feed.ironfeed.app/feed/7f3a9c2e-51b4-4d8e-9a10-2c6e0f1b8d33. In Google Merchant Center create a primary feed with Scheduled fetch, paste the URL and set the frequency to daily.

What happens next

  • Products are re-imported at your scheduled times; channels are regenerated after every import and after you save Master Fields.
  • Alerts appear in the bell icon and by email if a fetch fails, a schedule is missed or the product count drops.
  • To add Meta, TikTok or Criteo, repeat steps 6–8 with another channel type. Filters and categories can be copied from an existing channel.
